I wanted to share this card I made using Tim Holtz Stencils with 3 different products.
To create the background I first stenciled on water color paper with Antique Linen Distress Paint through the Tim Holtz Stripes Stencil. I turned the stencil 45 degrees & repeated to form a random checker/plaid pattern.
Once dry I then swiped Tumbled Glass Distress Stain and Victoria Velvet Distress Stain across the paper. The colors blended beautifully & look like a sultry sunset. The painted stripes resist the other distress products & appear to come to the foreground.
Frayed Burlap Distress Ink was applied with a blending tool through the Measured Stencil.
The Stars were then randomly stenciled using Wendy Vecchi's Embossing Paste.
I love the way they are semi translucent, so left them uncolored with the background peeking through in places.
I then stamped Tim's Bird Stamp in Black Archival Ink. Printed & cut out the sentiment.
This piece was applied with other torn paper scraps to a 5 1/2 " Cream card base.
Cheers for now.
