mINi CrAzy DoG MoTherS dAy CaRdS

Hi,  I wanted to share today some 'Crazy different' Mother's Day Cards
I have made using the cute Mini Crazy Dog Stamps & Dies from Tim Holtz,
Sizzix & Stamper's Anonymous.

All the dogs & accessories were stamped on Ranger Watercolour Card stock.
Coloured using Distress Markers & a fine tip water brush then
Die cut using the corresponding Thinlits dies.

Lots of other die cuts were also used on every card.  They all make me smile!
This one uses the 'Mini trophy & prize ribbon' steel rule die & the 'Friendship word block' thinlit dies from Sizzix.

Splatters of Brushed Pewter and Antique Bronze Distress Stain on black card stock
make this simple background.  Stars die cut from cork sheet.
The sentiment was die cut from white card stock
using the Concord & 9th 'Happy Card Frame' die.
This pup is a real cutie!

I love the font of the 'Perfectly Penned' stamp set from Concord & 9th.

This card is my favourite!
Really love this one with the Distress Oxide Background
using Wilted Violet, Broken China and Worn Lipstick.
The hearts were stamped with Versamark Ink & clear heat embossed
using the Tim Holtz 'Watercolor' stamp set.
This bulldog has so much personality I had to give him a tattoo!

What does this pup love more: his Bone, his Ball or Mum!
The Poppycrafts 'Stitched Lattice Rectangle' die is effective contrasted with a background of Tattered Angels 'Candy Apple Red' misted card stock.
Tim Holtz 'Mini hearts steel rule die' cut the heart from similar coloured card.
The sentiment is cut twice to give a shadow using the 'Love Always' frame die.

Hope these guys inspire you to create some Crazy Mother's Day Cards too.
I still have another couple of characters to add to more cards
& I haven't even started on the Crazy Cats yet....
Cheers   Deb Adams

Distress Oxide Concord & 9th Mother's Day Cards

I love how the Distress Oxide Inks can produce a very vibrant effect or a very subtle effect depending on the colours & techniques chosen.

Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint & Broken China Distress Oxides
were used for this card's background.
The ink pads were pressed onto a small acrylic block two colours at a time
sprayed with water & then swiped across the water colour paper
already die cut with a stitched edge.

Black Sparkle Embossing Powder from Ranger was applied to the front of the card
on the sentiment & side stripe using Versamark ink and the Concord & 9th
Party Wishes and Stripe Builder Stamp sets .
The different photo angle shows how shiny this is.

The Sentiments are stamps from Concord & 9th.
Love to combine different fonts from various stamp sets.

This card was white heat embossed using the layered stamp from Concord & 9th,
'Many Mandalas', using Versamark Ink on water colour paper.
This formed a resist for a soft water colour effect.
Achieved by using a water colour brush & Distress Oxide Ink colours of
Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Broken China & Faded Jeans.
The butterfly was stamped with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink & fussy cut out.
The sentiment is cut using the 'Love Always frame die' & Sizzix thinlit die.

This vibrant layered background was made with
Broken China, Peeled Paint, Fossilized Amber & Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks.
I really love the Concord & 9th 'Hugs' Stamps.
The bear was fussy cut after colouring with Distress Markers.
The stitched edge thinlit die cuts are from Sizzix & Tim Holtz.
Can you see the soft impressions made using the
'Many Mandalas' & the 'Barnwood Background' stamps with Distress Oxide Ink.
Used on the top and black layers giving them a very subtle texture.

Watercolour paper base cut with Rectangular Stitched edge die.
Wilted Violet, Broken China, Peeled Paint, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade & Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks
swiped across card using acrylic block with two colours
applied at a time & spritzed with water.
Heidi Swapp & Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits Dies cut from black cardstock
then clear heat embossed to give the shiny dimension.
Rest of the sentiment stamped in Black Archival ink & heat embossed
using Concord & 9th stamps.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my cards.
Hope they give you some inspiration to try combining different products.
Cheers for now,   Deb Adams

Tea Time Sizzix Mother's Day Cards

I have made some Mother's Day Cards that feature the Sizzix Alterations Tea Time Die Cuts.

I used my Sizzix Big Shot to die cut lots of various papers & cardboard with this steel rule die.
The backgrounds were formed with layers of Distress Paint, Distress Crayons
& Distress Oxide ink through a Prima swirl stencil.
Texture paste through a doily stencil forms a tablecloth for the cups to sit on.

All the elements are glued to the card using Prima Art Basics Soft Matte Gel Medium.
Shading with Faber Castell Big Brush Pens & Distress Crayons & highlights with White Gel Pen.

A little bling was added by using various glitter card stock & heat embossed sentiments.

Hope this inspires you to try lots of different papers with your die cuts.

Happy Creating,
Deb
