Distress Oxide Concord & 9th Mother's Day Cards

I love how the Distress Oxide Inks can produce a very vibrant effect or a very subtle effect depending on the colours & techniques chosen.

Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint & Broken China Distress Oxides
were used for this card's background.
The ink pads were pressed onto a small acrylic block two colours at a time
sprayed with water & then swiped across the water colour paper
already die cut with a stitched edge.

Black Sparkle Embossing Powder from Ranger was applied to the front of the card
on the sentiment & side stripe using Versamark ink and the Concord & 9th
Party Wishes and Stripe Builder Stamp sets .
The different photo angle shows how shiny this is.

The Sentiments are stamps from Concord & 9th.
Love to combine different fonts from various stamp sets.

This card was white heat embossed using the layered stamp from Concord & 9th,
'Many Mandalas', using Versamark Ink on water colour paper.
This formed a resist for a soft water colour effect.
Achieved by using a water colour brush & Distress Oxide Ink colours of
Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Broken China & Faded Jeans.
The butterfly was stamped with Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink & fussy cut out.
The sentiment is cut using the 'Love Always frame die' & Sizzix thinlit die.

This vibrant layered background was made with
Broken China, Peeled Paint, Fossilized Amber & Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks.
I really love the Concord & 9th 'Hugs' Stamps.
The bear was fussy cut after colouring with Distress Markers.
The stitched edge thinlit die cuts are from Sizzix & Tim Holtz.
Can you see the soft impressions made using the
'Many Mandalas' & the 'Barnwood Background' stamps with Distress Oxide Ink.
Used on the top and black layers giving them a very subtle texture.

Watercolour paper base cut with Rectangular Stitched edge die.
Wilted Violet, Broken China, Peeled Paint, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade & Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide inks
swiped across card using acrylic block with two colours
applied at a time & spritzed with water.
Heidi Swapp & Tim Holtz Sizzix Thinlits Dies cut from black cardstock
then clear heat embossed to give the shiny dimension.
Rest of the sentiment stamped in Black Archival ink & heat embossed
using Concord & 9th stamps.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my cards.
Hope they give you some inspiration to try combining different products.
Cheers for now,   Deb Adams
